You are Invited – Bedford Hills Free Library Gala 2017!
The Board of Trustees of the Bedford Hills Free Library invites all to attend Gala 2017 honoring David & Melanie Worby and announcing our Early Literacy Initiative. Thursday, March 30, 6:30-9pm at the GlenArbor Golf Club.
Please Support our Annual Fund
Contributions to our Annual Fund provide support for essential programs and services. While the Town of Bedford provides significant public funding of the library, each year the Board of Trustees must seek additional contributions from individuals, businesses, foundations and community groups to balance our budget and support our library’s operations. Donors may give a gift in memory of a loved one and honor milestones. Ask your employer if there is a matching program and increase the impact of your contribution.
Please click here to donate via PayPal or send a check payable to Bedford Hills Free Library to 26 Main Street, Bedford Hills, NY 10507

Sponsorship Special Programs or Events
Local businesses are invited to sponsor program activities or general support for programs and services.
Summer Reading Game
Special thanks to business that sponsored our Summer Reading Program in 2016. Children received recommended reading lists, checked out books and other materials, and received prizes. Sponsors also enabled the Library to remain open on Saturdays throughout Summer Reading to encourage participation and ensure that everyone in our community had access to our free resources.
Summer Reading Events Series and Activities
The Library also presented a series of family events and hands-on workshops to keep kids reading and learning. Our Wacky Wednesday series and STEAM Rollers series focused on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) topics. Events offered fun approaches to skills-building to helped kids to avoid the “summer slide” in learning. Other activities included Story Times for Preschoolers, Dive into Reading at the Pool, and games and crafts for families.
Donate your new or gently used books
The Library accepts old & new books, DVDs, books on CD and puzzles during library hours. Materials are added to our collection or Book Nook. If we cannot use materials, the Library donates them to Better World Books. We regret that we cannot accept encyclopedias, magazines, yellowed paperbacks or mildewed items.
Thank you Supporters!
Board of Trustees and library staff are grateful to contributors at all levels who make it possible for us to serve our community.
