
2025 Summer Reading Challenge
School-age children are invited to participate in the Color Our World Reading Challenge!
Start anytime! Stop by our Kick-Off Event on June 28 to pick up your Reading Challenge Kit and you’ll have everything you need to get started. Can’t make it in on Saturday? Stop by the library any day after June 29 for Summer Reading Challenge materials.
Each participant will receive an Challenge Card filled with reading ideas and other activities to do over the summer. For each challenge completed, participants will earn one ticket. Tickets can be exchanged for prizes at the Children’s Desk or at the Patron Services Desk. Tickets turned in by August 15 will also be added to our Grand Prize Raffle drawing. The more tickets you turn in, the greater chance you have of winning big!!
- 1 challenge ticket: Choose 1 small prize from the Treasure Chest
OR
- Save up 5 challenge tickets: Choose 1 free book from the Library’s Book Market
All reading challenge tickets turned in by August 16 will be entered into the Grand Prize Raffle drawing on the week of August 18.
Here are just a few summer reading challenge ideas to get you started:
- Read by the pool or at the beach
- Read aloud to a family member
- Check out a Culture Pass from the Library
- Participate in one of our Summer Library Workshops and Programs
- Check out a book from the Library
- Tell the librarian about a book you read
Also, every time you stop by the library, make sure to visit the Children's desk to get a ticket!
