The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager is a thriller about a recently widowed actress, Casey Fletcher, who retreats to her family's lake house and becomes obsessed with watching her glamorous neighbors, the Royces. When the wife, Katherine, disappears after Casey rescues her from drowning, Casey becomes convinced her husband Tom is responsible and investigates, leading to shocking supernatural twists and secrets.
