Program Description

Event Details

For Adults and Seniors, join us once a month at the Bedford Hills Community House to discuss popular fiction novels. Meetings are held on the First Friday of the month unless otherwise noted.

Sally Rooney's 2024 novel Intermezzo follows two grieving, estranged brothers—30-something lawyer Peter and 22-year-old chess prodigy Ivan—navigating life, love, and complex, age-gap relationships in Dublin after their father's death. The novel explores emotional limbo, exploring how they cope with loss through dysfunctional romances, with the title referring to a "surprise move" in chess.

Request a copy at the library. Regular & large print copies are available in the WLS system.
