Event Details

For Adults and Seniors, join us once a month at the Bedford Hills Community House to discuss popular fiction novels.

Set in 2015, Emira Tucker is a young black woman working as a babysitter. She is wrongfully accused of kidnapping the toddler she babysits while at a high-end grocery store. The incident is filmed by a bystander. Emira's well-intentioned employer, Alix Chamberlain, resolves to make things right. Such a Fun Age is Kiley Reid's debut novel. The story explores race, privilege, the stickiness of transactional relationships, what it means to make someone a family, and the complicated reality of adulthood.
