Brought to the community by the Bedford Teachers' Association, this is an opportunity for parents and guardians to read with their students and for community members to join in the discussion. Copies of the book are available at the library at the Patron Services Desk.

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind is an inspiring true story of ingenuity and determination. Written by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer, the book follows young William, a Malawian boy who, faced with famine and poverty, teaches himself how to build a windmill from scrap parts to bring electricity and water to his village. It's a powerful testament to human creativity, resilience, and the transformative power of education and hope.
