Do you like literature, but are too busy to commit to a book club? Come to hear great short stories read aloud followed by a short discussion. Readers are talented people from our Bedford community who select and read a story that reflects their interests or passion.

Lauren Acampora is the author of four books of fiction: The Wonder Garden, The Paper Wasp, The Hundred Waters, and The Animal Room, a collection of linked stories forthcoming in 2026. Lauren’s books have won or been nominated for the GLCA New Writers Award, the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize, the Story Prize, and the New England Book Award, and she’s been named an Artist Fellow in Fiction by The New York Foundation for the Arts. Lauren’s short stories have appeared in publications such as The Paris Review, New England Review, One Story, Missouri Review, Guernica, and The Best American Short Stories 2025. She lives with her family in Katonah.
