Program Description

Event Details

Take the StoryWalk at Bedford Hills Memorial Park and then join us for a Family Yoga session in the area next to the park pavilion. This all-ages session is a fun, relaxed way for kids and caregivers to move their bodies, practice mindfulness, and enjoy the fresh air. Registration Recommended. Please bring a towel or mat.

A children's yoga instructor certified through Yoga Effects and Karma Kids, Lindsay Fletcher loves incorporating yoga into the classroom and watching little yogis blossom.

Call Me Tree / Llámame árbol by Maya Christina Gonzalez is a bilingual (English - Spanish) picture book that follows a child imagining themselves growing strong like a tree. With lyrical language and warm, earthy illustrations, the story celebrates identity, self-expression, and our deep connection to nature as we grow into who we are.

The Bedford Hills Free Library StoryWalk® combines early literacy and family engagement with fresh air and outdoor activity. Beautiful picture book pages are displayed along the path at Lake Marie in the Bedford Hills Memorial Park.

This program is presented in collaboration with the Town of Bedford Recreation and Parks Department. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.
