StoryWalk - Patchwork / Retazos by Matthew de la Peña

Patchwork / Retazos, by Matt de la Peña and illustrated by Corinna Luyken, is a picture book that celebrates the idea that a person's identity is a beautiful, evolving collection of experiences, emotions, and potential, much like a quilt made from mismatched scraps. This book is presented in both English and Spanish.

The Bedford Hills Free Library storywalk combines early literacy and family engagement with fresh air and outdoor activity. Beautiful picture book pages are displayed in the windows of local businesses in downtown Bedford Hills. Click here for a map of the StoryWalk route.

This program is presented in collaboration with the Bedford Hills Business Association. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.
