Native Garden Installation

Bedford Hills Free Library has installed a beautiful new native garden to welcome visitors to our building. In addition to showcasing natural beauty, the garden supports the local ecosystem, including vital pollinators such as birds and butterflies.

A tour/talk about the garden was led by landscape designer Andrea Good in November and another event is planned for Spring 2024. Working in partnership with groups including Healthy Yards and Bedford 2030, the library will provide information and inspire our community to take similar steps in their own yards to create a healthier and more sustainable environment.

The Library is seeking funding for installation and maintenance expenses. For more information, contact Executive Director, Mary Esbjornson.
