Native Garden at the Library

Summertime brings blossoming and new growth in the Library’s native garden.  Andrea Good, our designer, said “everything planted in November is coming up as planned and beautifully!”

It will take about three years for the plants at the Library to reach maturity and for the beds to fill in with flowering perennials.

Native gardens are becoming increasingly popular in the landscape world, with homeowners seeking to create earth-friendly home gardens that support a healthier and more sustainable environment.

The Library established our garden to help demonstrate, inspire, and inform our residents who wish to take similar steps in their own yards.
