Curated by Mindy Yanish, the Creative Alliance Project (CAP) presents a six-part series of workshops led by accomplished professionals in visual art, the written word, music, acting, applied arts and more. Creatives in Bedford bring their talents, passions, and voices to help build bridges within our diverse community and discover inspiration and hope together.

All presentations are on Saturdays from 10:00 am to Noon at the Bedford Hills Train Station. Admission is free. Space is limited. Please register for each workshop in advance.

Living a Creative Life is a collaboration with the Bedford Hills Free Library, with support provided by the Town of Bedford Recreation & Parks.

Meet pros from TV & Broadway and share experiences about working in theater, television, and film. Engage in simple and fun theatre movements to warm up the body and voice. Explore short scenes from American plays and read through a few scripts. Experience together how actors do what they do.

Anne Twomey worked as an actor in New York, London, LA and more in theatre and television. Nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress she enjoyed a long career on Broadway and Off Broadway where she met her husband, actor John Bedford Lloyd who is one of television’s most recognized actors.

Come try your hand (literally) at putting words on paper (or screen) to tell a story, describe a moment, express a viewpoint, or send some love. This interactive workshop will begin with learning about writing in a fun and dynamic way, followed by opportunities to write together. No previous experience is needed – just a desire to have fun with pen and ink.

Patti Ivry facilitates a weekly Zoom writing group, helping people discover their inner writer. With a rich background in teaching writing, she has helped people learn to express themselves in a variety of ways. She has the magic trick to make writing fun!
