What is a StoryWalk®?
A StoryWalk® is a fun, educational activity that combines reading a children’s book with a walk outdoors.
Pages from a picture book are displayed on signs along a trail, park path, or in another public space. Families are invited to walk along the route and stop at each station to read the story page by page.
Th Bedford Hills Free Library StoryWalk® is presented in partnership with the Town of Bedford Recreation and Parks Department.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.
Something, Someday by Amanda Gorman and Christian Robinson is a powerful picture book about hope, change, and making a difference — no matter how small. With simple yet inspiring words and vibrant illustrations, it reminds readers that even the tiniest actions can lead to something beautiful.
This book is currently on display at Bedford Hills Memorial Park.
